Introducing the 69-1213TS K&N Typhoon Air Intake System for the 2013-2014 Honda Accord 4cyl model. This intake is a straight forward setup that comes with a built-in heat shield, that helps block out unwanted heat in the engine bay. This replaces the power robbing oem intake system and allows the engine to breath easier, thus allowing more o2/air into the intake throttle body, thus into the engine which results in more power and a more aggressive intake note. This intake comes with everything needed to be a complete bolt-on intake system. K&N systems come with a million mile warranty. The filter is easily cleaned and because it also resides in the engine bay this intake is less prone to sucking in water or getting dirty as quickly. This intake made over 5hp and nearly 7lb/ft of torque giving the engine a nice boost in power.
The K&N 69-1213TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Honda Accord models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-1213TS air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that’s made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal.
